so I have to use its own braided usb that was included (yes I also tried getting a replaced usb, they all do the same thing :"(( ) I returned the keyboard back to the store and got a replacement the same day after 3 days of trying to fix it (even the ifixit Microsoft couldn't do it), went back home and plugged it in again and STILL the same error message popped up! help :'((Īlso just to think things cant be any weirder, I tried removing the keyboard's detachable braided USB and used an old USB to try to connect it, the keyboard works! the only problem with it is that the razer keyboard has a curved mini-usb plug that you cant fully connect it
I tried going to device manager, when I plug it in it shows unknown device and before it was under USB with a yellow triangle with an error code 43 being malfunctioned.

So I thought my laptop is screwed, so I tried my older Logitech G15 keyboard on my msi gs70, and as expected it works, also tried using my razer mouses (deathadder and naga) works great.īefore I tried returning my razer keyboard back, I tried upgrading my laptop to windows 8.1 then back to 8, then did a full windows reset and also full re-installation of everything (basically went to hell and back!) but the driver STILL insisting to not recognize it!

I got another MSI gaming laptop (older one with windows 7) and it works perfectly plug-and-play, tried it on my pc also works great, I even tried it on my surface pro tablet just to see if the error was from windows 8 but it wasn't and worked on my tablet as well. So I thought of changing ports to try different ones, and all with the same message Whenever I try to plug in the usb cable to my laptop, I get a pop-up message saying "USB device not recognized, The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it." I own MSI GS70 Stealth laptop (preinstalled windows 8), and bought razer Blackwidow tournament edition keyboard (its mechanical) for gaming. I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I tried looking and couldn't find the answers i'm looking for.
